the mortuary of trees

I love to go to newmarket in dhaka because there are so many subjects to shot, and surprisingly people don’t mind you taking a shot of their stuffs. Varieties of shops, different goods will make your day – just don’t forget to take the camera with you.

This photo was taken in a stationary shop who sells materials for architecture students. Papers, so many types of paper are the most interesting thing in this shop. I went there to buy some glossy sheet to use as the background for my product photography.

Once I was in, these pile of bound books shows how many trees we cut off every year. We could easily make a paperless world if we had tried for one. Chopping a tree, an old and living tree, is one of the saddest scenes in the world.

If you had taken a look at the exif, you already know that this photo was taken using a 5D mark II with a 50mm f/1.4 mounted on it. One of the fantastic combination for everyday shots.
